This is the area where characters from Dungeons and Dragons/Forgotten Realms will (eventually, this takes time) be examined. Right now, the gods / goddesses will be considered. For a view of my transsexual life, visit my sister blog, Emily's Coffee Spot.

Akadi

Akadi, goddess of the air, is a being whose primary method of utilizing her power is through (rarely) helping, or (more commonly)harming.(1) There are four gods/goddesses in charge-

  • Akadi.
  • Grumbar. "Grumbar has ties with the deities with ties to elemental earth, including Geb, Garl Glittergold, Dumathoin, Laduguer, and Urogalan, but these are loose at best. Grumbar is opposed to Akadi and her flimsy and ever-changing ways." (courtesy: forgotten realms)
  • Istishia. "His allies are those with a relation to water, like Deep Sashelas, Eldath, Valkur, and Umberlee, but they are not strong relationships. He opposes Kossuth in every way."(courtesy: forgotten realms)
  • Kossuth. (Kossuth being the only deity with no strong opposition, particularly to Istishia, is indeed problematic. As time goes on, more research will be done. Stay tuned.)
In addition to these four, there remains a whole host of deities worshiped in Faêrun.  These are:Lord Ao(chief), Asmodeus, Bane, Chauntea, Cyric, Kelemvor Lyonsbane, Lathander, Amuantor, Mystra(murdered in 1385), Oghma, Selune, Shar, Silvanus, Sune,.org Talos, Tempus, Torm, Tyr, and Ubtao. There are also lower level deities, among others.

Akadi has several very loose connections, including Aerdrie Faenya, Quorlin, Remnis, Shaundakal, Stillsong, Stronmaus, and Syanita.

In Wikipedia we read the following:

Ed Greenwood created Akadi for his home Dungeons & Dragons game, inspired by the deity Lassa, created by Michael Moorcock for his Elric stories.[citation needed]

I found this information about Akadi in the Angelfire blog. Being a bit of a newbie, some of the information is unfamiliar to me; I will update it.

Also in Angelfire:

Special Att/Def: Akadi normally attacks with focused blasts of air and casts spells. So long as there is air for her to move through, Akadi is considered of the native Prime Material Plane in any crystal sphere she appears in. This makes her immune to the adverse effects of such spells as anti-magic shell, protection from evil/good, and holy word on creatures from other planes. Akadi's avatar may form a whirlwind for three rounds once per turn. AS a whirlwind she is up to 160 feet tall, with a 10-foot bottom diameter and a 90-foot top diameter (if she reaches her full height). The height Akadi can reach has no effect on the damage she does in whirlwind form; however, if she can reach only half her maximum height, her top diameter is only 45-feet, and if she can reach only one-quarter of her maximum height, her top diameter is 25-feet. The incredible winds of Akadi's whirlwind instantly slay creatures of fewer than 6 hit dice within 360 feet of her. Creatures from between 7 and 9 hit dice are struck unconscious for 1d4 turns, and creatures with 10 or more hit dice are stunned for 1d4 rounds. Those who survive this attack suffer 4d8 points of damage.
